WTB 125 cylinder

The piston broke on my 125, subsequently damaging the bore and im looking at around $650 to fix it. So if any one has a 125 barrel that I can buy, that would be good, its for an 07, but I think there the same for most of the naughties.

is the bore so damaged it can't be welded and re-nikasil'd? i've had some pretty damaged cylinders redone for $200-$250ish in the us..

$650? Thats NZ right? Whats the current exchange rate to USD? Like stainlesscycle said thats an easy fix here for a lot less, perhaps check into it. You are going to have a hard time finding used 125 parts, not many around. New 125 specific parts if available seem to be more $$ than the bigger bikes as well, I suspect due to smaller production numbers.

No it can be fixed, just one groove under a port.
Yes thats in NZD to get it re plated which is 450 in USD.
I got a quote from uschrome of 250 USD to have it re plated, but the cost of shipping are horrendous.
But after looking here and in Austraila, looks like the most cost effective option is to send it state side.

There was someone parting a MC125, and I have asked them, but havent heard back.

Its best to have it repaird and replated, that way you can be sure the exhaust bridge is properly relieved. Send or buy a piston from them for a good match.
