  • I'm most familiar with riding in the Payson area. I know there is riding in Flagstaff and Prescott, but I don't know what kind or how much. There is a lot of fantastic riding in the desert, but that ends up being an hour or more drive south of Sedona.
The least restrictive riding is usually on BLM land out west. The NFS seems to be a lot more restrictive. As a result, there are lots of forest service roads, but less single track.
I do have some great news, though: in AZ any dirt bike can be licensed and registered on the street. Head and tail lights, mirror, horn, and brake light. A trip to the DMV and for about $30 + another $35 for an off-road sticker and you are all legal for roads and trail.
