    Sezied motor

Use this website and find the parts diagrams...use those parts numbers and type them into the search window on CPD-USA website. They will have new OEM bearings and all other parts you will need. I just entirely rebuilt a 2005 EC200 bottom end earlier this year. Purchases everything from CPD.

    2005 EC200 Tail Light Issue

Edit to this…it’s the violet wire that does not seem to have any power.

    2005 EC200 Tail Light Issue

The headlight and brake light are working on my EC200; but not the rear tail light (running light). I have three wires running back to the tail light (white, violet, and yellow/green). I believe the white is the running light and the violet is the brake light? I do not have the high/low beam...

    Bottom end

What happened to to the one in your bike now? Crank bearing failure? How bad is the damage?

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

Filled the hole with JB weld late last week. I didn’t fill the entire well in the casting, just a good blob of the epoxy over the hole. Cleaned the area with brake cleaner and a qtip. Hopefully it holds together. Let it cure for 24 hours and did another leak down test. Seems to be holding. I...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

Thank you everyone for the replies. I will pick up some JB two part epoxy today and give it a try. Another issue found was a leak at the back of the cylinder base gasket. Down in between the the cylinder and the reed block. Checked the cylinder nuts and they are tight. Do I need to remove the...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

Got a leak tester hooked up tonight and found a hole in the case. Possibly the previous owner blew a piston and punctured the case? In didn’t notice anything on the inside of the case when I had them split. Maybe a failure in the casting? Any suggestions on how to repair the hole? Split cases...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

Picking up plugs for the intake/ exhaust to run a leak down test. New center case gasket when I rebuilt it so I hope it’s not that but could be. What interesting is that this problem has been the same since before the full rebuild. I posted about this and the suggestions were that the crank...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

I have about three hours of run time now on the full motor rebuild. Bike runs poorly off idle and smokes excessively still. Drained gear case oil and have lost 275cc. So at this point I am at a loss. Complete top and bottom end rebuild, all new gaskets and seals, nothing spared and still burns...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

So I disassembled the topend and remeasured the base gaskets I installed. (.9mm). I removed the thinner gasket(.35mm) and left the thicker one. Remeasured the squish and it is now 1.5mm. I think I am happy with this. I have not cut the head so I think this is a safe place to be. Secondly, I...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

So got the engine back together and it’s running poorly in the low range. Very low power off idle. Like I cannot get going again when stalled on a hill. The bike coughs and dies. I am thinking I put too thick a base gasket in on assembly? The kit came with two and I put both in. Measured my...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

I ordered oem bearings from cpd and the LH bearing is a two piece bearing. The collar when heated fit on the crank just fine. On disassembly I found one piece bearings in the cases. I too, like the two piece bearings

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

I have another question: I have the bottom end entirely together now and while torquing the crankshaft pinion I noticed that the crank can slide side to side in the cases. Is this normal? Its not the connecting rod moving, its the entire crank assembly sliding side to side in the bearings. No...

2005 EC200 Continual RH Crank Seal Failure

The part number from the catalogue states "RJ - CRANK SHAFT BUSHING EC200 , 0/000.480.9127". CPD has 4 in stock right now if anyone is looking for one.
