07 gas gas ec200

Hey guys. I just purchased my first gas gas. An 07 ec200. Big step up from my old xr200r. Just wondering if the 200 has the cdi switch or adjustable power valve?

The power valves are adjustable but it requires some work that includes going into the engine to do so. I do not think there was a ignition switch on that year or engine size. If you are looking to calm it down you can add a flywheel weight and retard the ignition timing.

Can anyone else comment on adding a Q Stealth muffler.

Congrats on your new bike and welcome. The external power valve adjustment is "new technology" for GG, just beginning with 2015 models. The mapping function I do not see on the 2007 manual.

The good news is, you have an unlimited source of information available to you from the members of this forum. I have yet to see a question that didn't get answered!

Does the EC200 need to be de-tuned? But yeah...if your looking to plug up the performance...the Q will sure do it. Sorry, not a fan The HoHP system has me spoiled.

I doubt you will find the CDI switch on the bike, but your CDI may have the connectors for it. At lest my 06 200 has it.

The 07 300 has the switch so you'd think the 200 would. Assuming it really is an 07.

I finally got time to look up the part, 2007 EC200 shows a map switch. Part number is BE250634007.
