12 ec300r false neutral 5th n 6th gear

Hi all
2012 ec300r
Bike has done 47hrs, i sometimes get a false neutral between 5th and 6th only on a up change and tranny will slam into 6th after it get the nasty neutral rev out...
Any one had this before?
Any help much appreciated

had it a couple of times on my 2013 - i just thought it was lazy shifting

I would check the "scorpion" shown below(photo credit to stujohnson). Make sure there are no sharp edges on the shift fork that can cause a hang up.
You may also try a thinner transmission fluid.

This is interesting as I have had this happen to me before... But in other gears as well.

gasgasman - Thank you for the advice. Next time I have my engine right cover off I will have to inspect that specific part.

Mine does it in some gears , mostly if I go to a motox track and very rarely if I'm riding enduro

I must admit i feel im the cause as im a soft shifter and the lever is just slightly too low for me but its not nice when it happens.. ill raise my lever and see how I get on then.. ill have a look inside on my next freshen up I think.

What fluid are you using and how many hours between changes?

As gasgasman said, check the scorpian

running motul expert.. bike is always serviced, mostlikely over serviced, oil after every weekend of riding usally

might be worth a look inside.. its bit of a concern.. hoping its not be selector fork issue
