2003 EC300 "power controller", what is it and WHERE is it?

Sorting out my wiring harness on my '03 EC300, hoping to trim it down to just the headlight and brake light. Wiring diagram shows a "power controller" that supplies the front & rear brake switches, in addition to other accessories, but I'll be danged if I can find it in the wiring parts list:


Anybody know where this rascal is mounted or what it looks like?

I believe that would be the voltage regulator. It could look different than this one depending if someone has replaced/removed it. Just going off memory it should be somewhere on the steering stem i can go by my shop tomorrow if you can't find it.

I don't know about the '03, but on my '06 it is placed together with the ignition coil.

On my 2000 EC250 it was mounted between the tank and the neck of the frame. It was visible once the tank was removed.

AHA, I think mine may be mounted near the coil, I remember seeing something like it. I'll check later and see where the wire(s) go. Thanks!
