hi all
I have a 2006 ec125 and i want to convert it to a 144cc,has anyone got any info or tips on doing this, and which piston is best to use.
thanks

did you do the 144 yet if so how did it turn out? i have had mine for about a year and a half and love it. making 40+ on the dyno.

what was involved in doing this? was it a straight overbore and replate? or did the ports have to be edited?
i am seriously considering have this done

Holy COW! 40 HP is big. My '99 six days XC 250 made 37 HP on the dyno, with a knobby mind you, so you could add 4 HP for a street tire.

I have been trying a YZ 125. Yam claims 38 HP, but on the dyno it makes 33. Even at 33, it's AWESOME. It's the most incredible 125 I've ever slung a leg over. The Husky WR 125 I've recently ridden pales in comparison. The 144 could be Magic. Too bad it's illegal for the ISDE.

what year was the husky??
I squeaked th piston on my 08 husky cr125 and just got it 144'ed. Gonna have to wait until the spring to run it now ...
I was told by a number of people that the yammie 125 was to mx'y for the woods even after your convert it.

the head was adjusted the port timing was changed. i had all ready matched the cases and cylinder. we balanced the piston also, matched to stock weight. this thing rips. although i will say that ring life is diminished and you have to stay on top of it once you feel the compression getting low change the ring. running the thin base gasket and sunoco 110 leaded (purple) fuel with amsol premix. we also changed the mapping on the power valves. we have done 3 bikes hear. keep in mind we are at sea level and i know the further north you get the more power you will loose.
