2010 300ec head work

Im wanting to shave the head...how much should I go? Will it incur the use of other special parts? (Piston) Should I have it ported at the same time?
I love the stock power, but I race HS and Im trying to seperate myself from the heard of orange.

Head modifications are good for a boost across the entire rev range. Theres a bit more to it than just shaving material off or removing base gaskets as these will vary either/or compression ratio and port timing as well. You may want this or you may not. First things first you'll want to take a squish test and see where you're at and then discuss things with an engine tuner who will build the engine to meet your needs.

As for racing, best coin you'll spend will be on your suspension.

I did my suspension first.
Think I might use RB-designs for the head mod. Im actually considering letting them do a complete carb mod too and bore it to a 39mm. Both should have a positive effect on the speed Im looking for.
