So I'm the proud new owner of the aforementioned bike. One of the fork seals gave out during the commute home. I must've had too much tension on them from the cargo straps. Anyways, I know that this year/model can come with either Sachs or Marz forks, but I am unable to figure it out by simply looking at it. I can't find any symbol, numbers or letters on the forks indicating what they are . They're black with some red on the caps. I'd like to figure out what to order ASAP rather than waiting to take them apart to find out what I need.

Thank you

Measure the OD of the lower tube. Marzocchi are 45mm. Sachs 48mm.

Race models in 2011 had a 48mm closed cartridge fork.

In many cases the seals can be "repaired" just by cleaning. So if you don't want to open them up to change oil and inspect / service, you could try ty use a Seal Mate or a Risk Racing seal doctor

They both work as expected. The Seal Doctor lasts longer, but is more expensive.

Unfortunately, i think that I've lost too much oil to attempt just cleaning it and calling it a day. Oil will definitely need to be added/replaced at this point. Thanks for the suggestion though. If it isn't as bad, and i catch it quickly enough, ill try that next time. and ill definitely look into those SKF's. Thanks for the input. And BTW, it was 48 mm.
