2011 ohlins shock baseline

I have a 2010 ec300 and I blew the stock Sachs shock. Finally found a ohlins replacement from a 2011 six days. I believe it's the ohlins 888. My question is the knob on the bottom. Is this knob rebound? I'm assuming so but wanted to check as I was reading something about the shock coming apart. Up top is a 17mm nut for the high speed and the low speed screw. Also is anyone has a baseline setting that would be helpful. Thanks and aloha

The disc at the bottom is your rebound. Same as normal, turn it clockwise until gently seated and work your way back out desired clicks. Start around 17, and adjust as required. Close it up and it'll influence your comp as well.

Same with comp, start around 17 clicks out.

The HSC 17mm is what you would have read about. Some models only have a nut that holds the comp adjuster in and no HSC adjustment. Back that out and you'll have issues.

The ones that do have it, you should be able to remove the rubber moulding that sits over the adjuster and see a circlip in there. There is another one in further that limits the amount the assembly can move. Very delicate threads, so be sure not to try and back it out further than you can.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I was poking around on the ohlins support website and found rebound 22, high speed was 1.5 turns and low was 17. So I set it there. But will reset yo your suggestion as you know your stuff. There are on "clicks" on the high speed but I believe 1.5 turns would be in at suggested starting point. Thanks again. It's so nice having a fully operation shock again lol
