2011 xc 300 odo/speedometer ?

That looks pretty nice. That is one of TT mounts is it not?

I was looking on their site and it looks like they use the same shell with several different mounting methods. Looks like you used just the shell.

Correct on all counts, however I did not use any of their mounting methods. I used the shell and made my own mount. Easy enough.

Sorry to dig out this old topic but I just found out the hard way the Vector is not waterproof  ... I lost the accumulated ride time and the accumulated ride distance (ODO)... and it does not turn on the back-light ... Any idea how I could get these values back ? Any idea how to make the Vector waterproof ? It simply malfunction from a few drops of water . I'm tempted to buy KTM's digital computer...

Put the unit (Battery and cover removed) in a container of dry 5 minute rice(uncooked) and place the container on your water heater or in your furnace room. Check on it in about a week and it will most likely work again, with no memory loss. We have saved many a ipod nono's, cell phones, etc. with this method and my trail tech too.

Then just place a ziplock bag over the unit when washing your bike.

Thank's for the advice, will try that way. It was not really the pressure washer but simply a hard rain ride we did this weekend, the Vector went bezerk :p

Has anyone mounted a computer with a steering damper? My bike came with a top mounted fastway steering damper and i'm wondering how to mount a vector. As others have said it looks a bit crowded down behind the shroud, not to mention the key is there. Maybe I should remount the key somewhere else? Here are some pics, i was thinking of going with something like this, http://www.trailtech.net/022-TM.html, if it would fit.

I thought about this also, http://www.trailtech.net/022-P06.html, but it would block the key completely.

Pics for reference

The stock hardware looks like it would let me mount it a little to the right of the clamp actually. Maybe I could do that, how durable are the stock plastic trailtech mounts? Maybe I should put something else together?

I wanted a very basic computer just to be legal in Pa. I chose an endurance II for it's small size and I wanted to keep costs down. I made simple brackets and mounted it and a Sicass Racing key switch to the bar clamps tucked in below the headlight shroud. The Endurance II has a clock, speedo, odometer and that's all I wanted. It will show avg speed and top speed if you care about that.

That's a nice setup, maybe ill go with that instead. I don't really need the tachometer, temperature or hour meter on the vapor. Really all I'm looking for is the speed, odometer, and time. Ill have to do some research and see if this will be enough for me. The temperature is a nice thing to have though.
