I have been hesitant to post this, but I have ridden it for a month now at this setting and it is great everywhere now! I think the two main keys were tons of rebound shims and I dumped the stock valves and installed hi flow valves from Tecnik in australia. I also lowered the preload to 2mm. After 12 times in these forks they are BUTTER!!!!! No spike ever now. Thanks to my local tuner Randy for all your patience.

Sounds right. Too much rebound and low flow bv always cause issues.
On my 48mmday sacks I flipped one bv added a id spacer to take up the cbore gap and added a couple larger shims. The rebound flow ports on the bv are much larger...thus is why I flipped it.
the forks track much better and don't dart around. I will be performing the same on the other fork.

You really think the base valves are a problem? I agree on the rebound and also run 1mm preload, but the base valves never gave me (or Les who valved them) any issues. I can slam rocks with no deflection, which would be a good indicator of inadequate flow. Could the newer Zokes have different pistons?

I just had a local tuner,Geoff at GP moto put the bigger port base valves in my 11 ec300 as well. it's cold here and i only have one initial ride (short easy one at that ) on these revalved forks. But my iniatial impressions were that all the good points of the fork were still there, and the sharp high speed jarring hits were non existant now. front wheel tracked very well and no deflection. i'll post more on this as i get some time on these forks, but that probably wont be until spring time.

I drilled mine and stacked the rebound like crazy and built a mid valve. Well the dealer helped with the mid valve. I have been into the forks a dozen times as well. Working good now and of course I am getting rid of the bike. Go figure.
