2012 For Tall Riders?

I am thinking about a 2012 EC300. I am 6'3", 36" inseam.

I presently have a Husky WR300. Although it was OK stock, I lowered the footpegs and installed a tall seat.

Am I going to be cramped on a newer GasGas? I have a bit of time on a friend's 06 and it was small, but I understand the newer ones are a bit taller.

The newer bikes have a bit more room. I relocated the pegs on my 2011 down and back to create more space. Now I have to be more careful around stumps.

If you can swing the price difference, the new 2014 has an aluminum subframe which is better than the plastic ones used on 2012 and 2013.

I am also a tall person. I tried the lower fast way pegs, but didn't like it. I'm wondering if I didnt do something right. Are you supposed to retune the suspension after lowering them? It always felt like I was in the back seat. Cornering was weird. I went back to the stock pegs and gave the aftermarket ones to a friend.

6'5" on a 13 EC 300 Trail tech x bend bars, with about a 1/2" bar riser and a tall seat. I don't notice the bike being small.

I am like Wimpy, 6'5' tall flex bars, fast ways lowboys position and a tall seat. Lots of room for me.

Same here. Fastway Pegs in Lowboy position, , Trail Tech X tall bars, bike feels very roomy and comfy.

There is an aluminum sub frame upgrade kit available for the 2012. For less than $500 you can get the sub frame, 13 tank and seat. It's pretty much a 2013 at that point.

Of course I just happen to have a 2012 for sale in the classifieds.....:D
