It looks very neat, I wonder if it will work.

E-start on ktm was very bad designed and took 7 years to redesign it......so time is the answers.
Not only E-start but almost everything KTM had done ultimately took some years to work as expected.
PDS suspension
350cc engine (timming chain)
Freeride 350 (electronics, boiling, brake fade....)
EFI 4t (fuel filter)
4CS suspension
Mikuni carbs
2T e-start
First model of side air filter not sealing well
So, there a price in all development and KTM is pushing the market ultimately
Is there really another way? I doubt if there are (small european) manufacturers that can afford to do all developmemt and testing to get a perfect product before they release the first version to the market.Research and development at the expense of the consumer.![]()
I think that I spoke too soon. Cycle News just test rode it and they really liked it.

Fact of the matter FI is coming on all 2 strokes. I'll embrace it when it does. But I won't buy a ktm.
Sherco said they can meet Euro4 without it. Its Euro 5.

KTM isn't exactly a "small European manufacturer".
