I just spent some time configuring e-mail on the new linux web server - it now works to send you notifications for things like Private Messages received, etc.
Unfortunately, a large number of e-mails were queued up when things got "turned on" - My apologies if you get a large number of unnecessary e-mails from the forum. If you no longer wish to receive e-mails from the forum software, you can control this in your user control panel (user cp).
