Being lazy and kinda hurried before the wknd
Can I put my 06 front wheel on my 01 with a bearing change? Hub the same?
I believe I can. I just dont remember and I need a tire for my 01 and i have a fresh one on my 06 spare. time seems to be getting away this week prefer a wheel swap over a tire swap
Thanks

let me start off by saying i could sure be wrong here.. but..

i tried to swap wheels between my 01 and 07.. the 01 wheels with 07 bearings would fit fine on the 07, but the 07 wheels with the 01 bearings would not.. the bearings were thicker on the 01 and there was no room in the hub for the seals.... could not find a thinner bearing either with that size axle..

it has been a while...

You are correct, dyslexic (sp) this morning got years backwards. The newer hubs have a more narrow bearing bore. Thats why the '01 hubs, with '07 bearings and seals(pressed flush) have a larger gap between bearing and seal. I have modified '01 wheels I'll try and take a pic.

that is what i remembered... of course i had already put the 01 wheel on the 07 before i figured out the 07 wheel would not fit the 01....

that is the way i do things sometimes....

changing tire

thanks for the info I knew there was something in the back of my brain
Curious about the spacers though as I am letting go of my 06 and will have my 01 and an 00 as a spare.Have a bunch of spares from 05-6s
Would like details if you'd share em when you get the chance
Thanks guys
