Broken Alum. Head to Frame Mount

Hey, just noticed an audible vibration on my 07 EC300. Turns out the aluminum strips that hold the head to the frame snapped. Last winter I replaced the opposite side one that I noticed was cracked. All other mounting bolts were tight. I guess I'll just replace it and double check all the mounting bolts again but just wondering if anyone else has this issue or if anyone just runs without them. I thought I saw a picture of a newer bike that didnt even have them installed. Thanks

Happened to me I just replaced them with some steel ones I made, been good for the last 2 yrs..

For my '07 I made some alloy ones twice as thick that also serve as a rear rad brace mount. No problems. You may try something like this. Pay attention to how the alignment is in relation to the frame and shim with washers if needed to get things square. '12 frame does not use a head stay.

On my '06 300 it kept breaking them, so i looked further and found that the engine bolts were tight, but there was still a gap between the motor and the frame. made up some shims to take up the gap and fixed the vibes and the breaking of the ally mounts.
