broken clavicle

careful on that mtb steve ... I've had worse injuries from riding my mtb than from my dirtbike!!! Seriously ... mtb incidents seem to be more of a splat while dirtbike stuff seems to be tuck and roll .....
 
I know I don't wear as much gear on a mtn bike. That's probably why I haven't gotten out yet...gun shy...
 
There are certain angles, positions, and forces that cause me to feel the plate, but its rare and not painfull. If they cut you again to remove it, the numbness returns and you start all over. You know whats funny, if I flex a certain way, like a forward shoulder shrug, I can really see the calvicles clearly. The right plated one is twice the thickness of the left, not just the added thickness of the plate which is only a few mm. The rest must be new bone and/or scar tissue.

Almost forgot, swimming is very good too.
