Can we sit down and converse about powervalves?

My '12 just hits at a higher RPM, higher than the rain mode map of the '07, and fairly hard as well. Thats why I believe the switch is ineffective, because the PV is not open enough when the ignition is at that point in the curve, and the PV assumes control. It makes perfect sense to me. I don't think its jetting either, bike has plenty of fuel in the midrange. I'm really tempted to pull the governor and see whats there.
