Cheap vs expensive oil?

I just purchased my first enduro bike, a brand new 2024 GasGas EC300, so I need some help when it comes to what oil to use... expensive or cheap?

I live in Europe and in my country we have a huge chain of stores that is very similar to Walmart in the US. They buy everything in bulk so they can keep the costs down. They sell everything from food to engine oil, and the price of their "own" oil (let's call it Brand X) is 3-4 times as cheap as the Motorex oil that GasGas recommends, while still having the same standards: semi-synthetic, 15W-50 and JASO MA2 for the engine oil and fully synthetic and JASO FD for the 2-stroke oil.

Engine oil.
Where I live, 4 liters of Motorex Top Speed 4T is equivalent to €73,59 or $77,26, while 4 liters of Brand X 4T is equivalent to €19,85 or $20,86.

2-stroke oil.
Where I live, 4 liters of Motorex Cross Power 2T is equivalent to €95,27 or $100,09, while 4 liters of Brand X 2T is equivalent to €22,45 or $23,59.

I am thinking like this. I will change the engine oil every 20-22 hours instead of the recommended 45 hours. Cheap oil and more frequent oil changes is better than expensive oil and less frequent oil changes, especially when the cheaper oil has the same standards as the more than 3-4 times more expensive oil. I see no reason to buy the more expensive oil when the cheap one have the same standards. Or am I wrong?

What are your thoughts?

I think you are probably right. However, I have always kept away from the "Brand X" types of oil.
On my Gasgas bikes I have used Castrol, Texaco and now, lately, GRO as two stroke oil. For the gearbox, I have used Castrol and GRO. All these work well in my experience. But my Gasgas is one of the "previous generation" Gasgas bikes, your 2024 bike has fuel injection and oil injection I presume? It might be that the oil pump etc demands a particular brand / type of oil, I don't know.

And there is no harm in telling where you actually live and what brand of oil you are talking about :)
I live in Norway, by the way.
