Cheapest Place to Buy 18 and 21 Tubliss

Mxsouth.com are usually a bit cheaper than most

And good move by the way. What is your reason for wanting to try them

Have you guys seen a new product called Flat Tire Defenders? They're like mousses but in small discs, not a complete mousse. I just got some in and will let you all know how they work for me?

I love Tubliss, tubes feel ugly when I ride them now. Its how the tire is held to the rim that makes the difference.

Clay,

Never heard of them, interesting. Hard to mount? Maybe like Tire Balls if a chopped up mousse.

It's certainly interesting...I watch the mounting video, on the website. Is the beadlock no longer used? There was no mention of it, nor did I see one on the demo wheel.

Dismount, relube, and remount after 2-3 rides sounds like a PIA though. It's basically a multi piece mousse.

It may be a good idea to go with the second hand set for now as I know tubliss is working on a new system. Along with mitas developing a type of run-flat tire to go with tubliss

Mefo is also bringing out a mousse with inflatable tube insert but then you will still be riding a dead mousse

The way I ride combined with longevity of mitas tires means I would need to lube a mousse before the tire was done

Are you asking about the TuBliss? The TuBliss is the bead lock, it locks the tire to the rim for the full 360 degrees, tire will not come off the rim even at 0 psi and top out speed. I run them on both ends and have for my last 3 bikes. Understand-they are NOT a flat proof system like mousse, tire defender, tire balls etc. They are marketed & sold as a traction enhancement, you can have flats.... I ran the whole Concho enduro on a flat front tire, no issues with handling. TuBliss works

I sent them a email yesterday to get pricing....intresting is no rim lock. Must really have a pretty good bite on the bead.

On the Tublis...system, at the last National Harescramble at Shasta Lake, I seen several flat tires and guys were running Tublis system, but it looked like no damage to the rim from the bike I seen after the race.

Remember if you are running tubliss on rides you can normally plug a puncture and carry on riding. I also run slime because we have some serious thorns down here

I am a TuBliss sponsored rider and I recommend calling Nuetech directly and talking to Jeff Douglas himself. That guy is the most friendly and cool guy. He can give you some insight on what tires to use for the best performance from the system. He also is very good at helping with setup of his system.

Tubliss Help

Ok, I am going to be calm and objective about this problem. I installed the Tubliss on some new Metzeler Six Days tires and I'm using a new "slime" high pressure gauge and I can't get the pressure on the inner liner for either tire over 80 PSI. Its supposed to be 110 PSI, so, #$@!WTF am I doing wrong? I took both tires off and I submerged both wheels with the inner bladders into water and I can't find any bubbles at all. Do I have defective inner bladders, a defective gauge or do I need a special pump?:confused:

It's not the bladders, they would fail catastrophically at 80PSI, not leak slowly. What type of pump are you using? My $ is on that. I have a lot of Tubliss, and the best way to fill the inner bladder is with a zero loss air chuck. I made up an adapter with one of these and a gauge that can be used with any compressor or hand pump. It's also useful for charging shocks with nitrogen, when connected to a cylinder/ regulator.
