Christini AWD 300.

I'm amazed they can hold that price point, considering all the extra hardware. Is it made here in the USA? I saw the prototype that used a modified GG frame and it was very nice. Good Luck to them.

The frames are imported glad they went with this one the other one with the PDS would of sucked. We saw Wally Palmers bike up at Tasky's over the summer for the Endurocross and it looked trick.

I got this reply from steve :

Christini AWD 300

If you haven't read the race review of the new CHRISTINI AWD 300 in the February 2012, Dirt Rider, take a look. The review will answer a lot of the questions that people have.

If I rode lots of big hills I think I would be all over this bike. Wonder how that thing would do in snow and mud? BTW I agree the price is great.

There's an article in last months TBM that did a feature on a guy that had sent his existing bike (ktm350) off to christini and they converted it for ?3000...
Said that they would do any bike.

They raved about how easy it was to climb slippy snotty hills with it. And when they deactivated the system and tried to get up the same hills they couldn't even get half way up the hills.

I've seen the CRF250 version in action on hills. In Hancock a few years back, I came up on a guy with one. He could just casually ride up the steep bluestone covered hills like they were perffect dirt, where I had to be a lot more concerned with momentum. I think it would be great for technical trail riding or even racing in bad conditions. The downside is it may totally ruin your proper technique on a normal bike.

Glenn I don't have a lot of proper riding technique although I been working at it for 40+ years lol . So I may have to really look into this bike. Thanks for the info guys.

Wow, that price is a surprise, I thought/assumed they only made about 10 of these things and only pros got them. That's a bike that would amaze your friends and strangers alike, if they didn't know it was AWD they would think you had magic skills.

CHRISTINI AWD 300 - EPA compliance

Hi Everyone,

Our AWD 300 (GasGas powered) has the necessary EPA paperwork and correct VIN for legal 50 state operation. We are registered in California also so no issues there. And we are in Kelly Blue book and NADA so you can finance our bikes through any local bank as well as get insurance.

Our same with our AWD 450 (green sticker CA), but our Street legal 450DS is only 49 state street legal approved (no CA street CARB)

If anyone wants more information or details, contact us directly.

Thanks.

I have been contemplating the awd 300 as my next bike. Not sure if it will be a benefit or not, but it seems like a great machine. It will either be that, or a KTM 500 xcw. Need a big change next year to try to overcome the bad luck and find that extra speed that only confidence can give. So it will be an all new approach for me trying to qualify for the ISDE.. The only concern I have with the Christini is the unknown suspension factor and how quickly I can change the front tyre with the awd system.

Someone mentioned the military bought some AWD.....they also bought KLR 250's and 650's for duty.....take about problems...I was involved in that program, both as an instructor and test rider when the bike were being done by Hayes.

Never riden an AWD bike so I really can't comment. But, I can comment of the type of riders, terrain and places that the bikes will see duty. It's ugly to say the least.

Good Luck to the AWD guys!
