Clutch Master

Anyone ever put a 10.5mm clutch master on their bike? Supposedly it helps with a more precise pull. I know my stock AJP friction zone is pretty close to the grip. I know that shims and longer clutch rods don’t work to adjust throw, it can only be done on the fluid side. Magura makes a mineral oil 10.5mm I thought of trying. I realize clutch pull will increase but I was hoping that it would help with modulation.

On my old 2001, Les used a magura clutch master from a cannondale. It had a larger diameter piston. No clutch drag and could easily start in gear, etc. We used both the clutch master and the braided line from the cannondale.

I don't know the stock piston diameter on the clutch master cylinder. And I don't know the size of the cannondale master either - only that it was larger for more fluid displacement and greater throw on the clutch.

I really like the larger larger diameter piston on the magura - it was switched to mineral oil along the way...

This was years ago, so at the time cannondale parts were being sold off by a bankruptcy liquidator. And new oem cannondale parts were easily found on e-bay...

Check your basket isn't too heavily grooved.

I found if I ran Motul Transoil std it was hard to start in gear.
But Motul Transoil Expert. Perfect, never a problem since.

My basket is in good shape. I’m just trying to figure if they used a different clutch line for the Magura and AJPs. Both are mineral oil, just not sure on the thread for the magura matching up
