looking for a complete engine for a 2000 gas gas 300ec or any engine that will fit in this bike

A 200, 250 or 300 from 1998 to 2003 will bolt in. Around 2003 2004 GG changed the swing arm shaft diameter larger. Using a 2004 or 2005 engine is possible but you need to sleeve the larger hole in the cases to fill the gap. I think after 2005 they moved the lower engine mount location.
A double A (AA) Maglite flashlight body will work as a sleeve but you probably need to slightly reduce the outer diameter to fit in the engine cases.
