Confused on what forks I have??

I have done several search's for this bike and turn up conflicting details. I have a 97 ec250 or what I think is a 97. The serial pulls it up as a 96, but the certificate of origin says 97....ugh?

The forks measure 45mm in diameter around the stanchion, but when I look up the info on the Zokes web site it says they are magnum 50's because it has the plastic blue clickers on top. Just confused, maybe the forks are a hybrid of these two?? Previous owner said it was used as a race bike for hardrock trials in AZ. Just need to know so I can order the correct seals and parts.

i believe if it measures 45mm then thats what they are.
if you download some manuals you might be able to identify them by the taper of the upper tubes and also how the front axle is held in place.

The Magnum 45's have blue plastic adjusters on top. One side is compression, one rebound. I would bet money that they are magnum 45's. If your bike has a Gas Gas engine, it's a'97. If it has a TM engine, it's '96 or earlier.

Thanks for the replies. The engine is a Gas Gas and am pretty sure they are the 45's. Anyone know where to get dust seals for these. Ordered oil seals from LT Racing and he said they were on eternal back order?

I have a pair of forks from a 2005 crf250r I can get my hands on. Anyone have any suggestions about these?

You'll need an entire triple clamp, but it would be well worth the effort to put those forks on your bike. Worst case scenerio you will need all things Honda. Meaning a front wheel, and brake, and worse yet, you may have to press the stem from your Gas Gas triple clamp into the Honda triple clamp. The Magnum 45's were highly lauded when they were new, but they are really lame in comparison to new stuff.
