I would like that. It would have to be in the midwest probably. Although they do have the 6 days of Michigan I think it's called.
I would like to try an Erzburg event. I know that they have an extreme enduro in Canada. New England would be prefect for that type of event. Vermont would probably be the best but there are too many tree huggers.
Check out http://rallymoto.com/. It's not a Dakar scale event, but it's the closest thing we've got - in the east anyway. I've done the pavement rally in Tennessee and that was a hoot. The others are offroad or gravel roads, two day format. There is some navigation involved, but it's mostly defined routes and pin it to win it.
Remember the Nevada Rally in 1993, 94 and 95? It made a big loop around the state of Nevada. I rode two days in 95 until I crashed and pulled a groin muscle so badly that I couldn't walk. Acerbis was the main sponsor and Casey Folks did most of the course layout. I would like to ride that race again.
