The good stuff, food grade (pure) silicone spray used to lube processing equipment. I've been using it my snowblower chute too much lately.

my snowblower chute and impeller (2 stage) was having icing/freezing issues. i tore it all apart and lubed with silicone. and while i was at it replaced the 3 chains (broke a mcmaster chain last year - switched to tsubaki) and 2 belts... no issues yet this year. my 50 year old snowblower gets a lot of use last few years...




i'm gonna try the duct tape method to keep the chunks from forming - than spray that with silicone??

Wrap the

peg in an inner tube- bicycle would be best size wise.
The teeth will come through, but the peg will not really fill with snow/ice.
Snag a blown tube for nothing & a bike shop and give it a shot.

You guys mentioned two things that I am really glad I know nothing about....ice problems in footpegs and snowblowers!
