Dvix (win-rar)computer to dvix on dvd???

Righto,
I have got a friend who needs to get dvix files in win-rar format into a format that can be put onto a dvd and then watched on a dvix dvd player.
I have tried to help him but thought maybe you guys have more of an idea?
Any help or advice on free programs etc would be appreciated.

Sorry wence actually, I am wrong. That program can't change it back to DVD compatible format. However depending on what he is using to burn the DVD that program might be able to change MP4 to DVD. Do you know what burning software he has?

He used to have an experimental avs thing but no longer.
A friend of ours tried to install nero but did not have the correct key or something.
I think he is just trying to work out what best suits his needs.
The need is changing from dvix on the comoputer in winrar format into a format that his dvd recorder can read,His dvd player is dvix by the way.
