Its hard to quantify on two different bikes. My '07 runs very hard stock, where my '03 was somewhat of a dog off the bottom. The VF2 in low tension is biased toward this low end improvement, but mine retained good top end as well. The down side is reed life, after every season I found the edges frayed and chipped slightly. It was worth it in the '03 though. My '07 runs so good I'm not touching it. I think Kent A actually tested the VF2 vs. VF3 in the same '05 or '06 300, and found that the VF2 did give better low end. If you have an issue with soft low end power and can't jet it out or rectify it otherwise, give the VF2 a try if you can find one as they are out of production and replaced by the VF3. You might want to ask Mototassinari if and for how long replacement reeds will be available however, as you will need them.
