Ec200 crank

Hi everyone.

New to the forum but have been looking for a while.

Long story short. I bought an 02 ec 200 and fell bottom end caved in after less tha 10 min of me on the bike.

I've got a friend that can help me rebuild but it's 2 hours from my home so I would like to get a new crank instead of sending off to get repaired.


My question is. Is the a company that makes aftermarket cranks for the 200. Or is there another bike that has the same crank that I can get to install

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I don't think there are aftermarket cranks for the EC200. There are, as far as I know, aftermarket rods (at least for 250/300), but no complete cranks.

Sorry to hear about the crank failiure - it's unusual, the gas gas two stroke engines are normally very strong.

Another option may be to find a complete engine. I think it is correct to say that the 200 / 250 / 300 of the same era should all fit into your rolling chassis. What country are you in ? I saw an EC 200 engine on UK ebay link , but it's an '07, so maybe not a straightforward fit.

Thanks for the replies. I'm gunna bite the bullet and pay a shop to do it as I'm time poor at the moment and don't have the room in my garage.

Too bad you're not close to Tennessee I have an 02xc200 that runs great. I would sell it for $900.

Ken, tell me more about this bike. I'm struggling to find a decent small bore for my son. Nothing but clapped out junk here, at least now.
