Fastaway pegs and brake leaver

I have a set of the Fastaways. The right on is going to my welder friend's today for brake leaver clearance. Any tips on grinding the back corner down vs. cutting the corner off and re attaching it further forward?

Just grind it, they are more than strong enough.
