First Ride EC200 Poor Low End

I've never ridden a GG b4 and recently was thinking of buying a EC200 and got a lone of a 2007 200 for a few days. I usually ride a Husaberg FE400 and liked the idea of something a bit lighter and more nimble. My first ride was in mostly tight single trail stuff which I liked but found the bottom end really soft and a fairly peaky powerband. My second ride was a lot more open and very wet but I found the bike just lacked bottom end and had to be right on it all the time which was tiring. A friend has a KTM 200 which you can ride all day without have to be in the high revs whereas the GG was opposite. Any fixes out there or is it the nature of te beast ? Still considering but am weary as I found that after a few hours I was over clutch fanning and many gear changes. Could also be my age catching up.
Cheers Dan

GG 200 has poor low end if you have got used to Berg's bottom. 250 has way more bottom end for me as I rode both last summer and I ended up with 250.
I also rode 2010 Berg 390 and Ktm's 400, and if your Husaberg has that same engine as the new Ktm, there's plenty of power at low end compared to 250 GG.

LTR jetting kits helps on the older ones a lot & will likely for the newer ones, otherwise they burble before they clear out. I also took out one of the two base gaskets which helped raise the comm a bit. Find it will lug down a lot better now.

It ain't no 400, but on the other hand it doesn't weigh like one either.

jetting, pipe, squish, pv cover, flywheel/ignition/timing - many factors could have made it peaky and with weak low end.. my 200 has no problems yanking my 190 lb ass around, you make it sound like it rode like a 125...mine pulls strong right through the rev range, with no peakiness at all - not 125 mx like at all.... no bogging on the bottom, i occasionally fan the clutch, if it's a really big hill. it's not a 400 4t, but it definitely has some bottom end...

This may be a little off base, but is there a chance that this particular 200 had a 250/300 exhaust pipe ? The power you described is what you'd get with the wrong pipe. Just a wild guess.
