FMF Pipe on 2012 model

That is a good looking pipe. Going to order one myself.

Clay, do you have to remove that damper collar to get to your tank bolt? I have the top mount and see you have the submount.

I don't remove it. I loosen the clamp and rotate it a bit and then I can get to the tank bolt.

Speaking of tank, did you notice that there is no rear tank hold down of any kind? Well, there is actually, its the seat. When the tab engages the battery box, the area in front pushes the tank down onto the frame. Without this, even with the front of the seat on the tank post, nothing is holding it down firmly. So, I beleive the battery box is not a structural member of the subframe to add strength, but required to leverage the tank down and support the seat base.

Clay,
What are the new fmf pipes worth?
I just dented mine today on a stump.(dinted if you are from Mullbourne).:D
Sound like the goods though.
Cheers Mark

I don't know what the price will be. I'll ask Mark at GF. He just ordered a bunch of them.

Motorsportz. He advertises on this site. Its a pretty solid set up. The height of the underbar unit is really low.

+1 using one on a 2010. Only raises the bars around an inch max. Very slim n slender.

Price and availability

the 2012-13 pipe is the same price as other year models $229 and we now have in stock.

I have sent one FMF and one OEM pipe to Eline for carbon fiber guard fitment as well.

I have one of the early FMF pipes for the 2012 and really like it. Mine is the factory "bare metal" pipes and I am not sure how much they changed them or if they did at all when they changed it to the "gnarly" for the public.
