We are proud to announce that GAS GAS USA, INC. is the new importer of the GAS GAS Enduro/MX line of Motorcycles and Quads. For more than 18 years, GAS GAS USA, INC. has imported and distributed the Trials line and will now be the sole US importer of the complete line of GAS GAS motorcycles.

GoFasters, a company from Ortonville, MN, will be the parts distributor for the Enduro/MX Motorcycles and Quads. In addition, they will provide technical, warranty and racing support in their role as a partner company with GAS USA, INC. They are very involved in Enduro/MX and Cross Country competition and have been supporting the GAS GAS official factory team in World Enduro Championship (WEC) rounds in North America.

RISING SUN IMPORTS, who has partnered with GAS GAS USA, INC. for more than 18 years with parts distribution, warranties and technical support for the Trials line, will continue in this very important role. They are recognized around the world as one of the best experts and sources of GAS GAS Trials parts and technical information.

We, together with our dealer network, will continue to expand GAS GAS recognition and support for our customers and riders by offering top quality products, along with professional and efficient service and parts.

Finally an end to the awesome game of do I have parts for my old GasGas. Glad to hear that Steve and Mark will be heading up parts since they are already my favorite offroad parts suppliers and simply great guys to spend your money with. Good Luck and glad to hear it's all G to G.

Great news! :)

Mark/Steve,

Now that you are the official parts distributor, will you also function as a parts dealer like you are currently doing?

I have purchased Pampera parts directly from Rising Sun at MSRP, not a trials dealer, so I would think the same logic would apply.

Goals and ambitions

Speaking for Steve as he is still in Chile and for myself, we are very excited and very cautious as well with the new venture coming towards us. Complete details have not been worked out with Spain and I will know more when I return from Spain in December.

We will continue to sell product to customers at MSRP pricing plus frieght but also create tools for the dealers to better assist the customer with parts and new units.

GasGasRider.org has been a huge help for customers and dealers alike and will continue to be of assistance to all of us in the future. Some idea's that we will work on without a definite timeline will be new GasGas branding product, a complete hardparts and aftermarket catalog available in CD and paper version (this will take a while as we intend to include the trials side as well), microfiche to dealers along with price lists available for inventory control systems. These are just of few of the changes that you'll see in the months to come.

Having Dale Malesak take care of the complete line of GasGas machines will be a huge benefit in reducing marketing, advertising, and shipping costs for the GasGas line. He has a big history with GasGas that can only further the product and we look forward to working with him and with Jim at Rising Sun. It will be a long process with many, many headaches along the way, but we love riding GasGas bikes and being a part the GasGas family.....we just want to grow that family here in the US!

This is excellent news!!!

I'm glad to see that GoFasters will be the enduro/mx parts distributor. Mark & Steve are great to work, have a passion for motorcycles, and are committed to the GasGas brand.

It's nice to see that a strong foundation is being established for North America. The future is very bright with a the team consisting of GasGas USA Inc., Rising Sun Imports, and GoFasters.

Mark/Steve,
Will you be focusing only on parts distribution now or will you continue to sell bikes too?

Marketing is where KTM has been industry leader. It's nice to hear that GasGas USA will take these lessons learned and now apply them to our brand. Folks who own or have owned GasGas bikes know that there are plenty of parts available. It's just knowing where to find them. There's not too many more hardparts that KTM really offers. With an organized catalog, potential customers feel comfortable knowing parts are easy to obtain. This is what GasGas needs and it can be done... since plenty of aftermarket parts/cross-over parts are out there.

Great news!

Sharing the information here, shows how much respect Gas Gas has for this web site.

Things can only go foward from here on.

Great News Indeed

I couldn't be happier. My visit to GoFasters in August 2006 convinced me to go GasGas, and that was without ever riding one of the bikes. I have a need to keep stuff running as long as possible, and with GoFasters handling parts, I know I am good to go.

Congratulations, Steve, Mark, and us, 'cause we all win this time.

That is good news cause the local Gas Gas dealer in these parts dosn't give a rats ass about Gas Gas & it's sorta discourging when a dealer with new bikes on the floor can't even get a front brake line. Anyway I'm gonna ride the wheels off mine & as long as parts are there my next bike will be a Gasser.

Ease up LINK!
I know the dealer you're talking about. They DO care about GASGAS bikes, and in fact SPONSOR 3 individual AMA District 36 racers, AND have TWO demo bikes for anyone to try! I don't know what your reason for saying that they don't give a rats ass was, but I think you should give them another chance... I will say that the parts dept. is on a learning curve with the GASGAS parts. But, the issue with a brake hose might not be their fault. Remember, the theme of this thread. We are all hoping for better things in the future, and with Mark & Steve handling parts distribution, things are definitely looking up for all of us!
On a related subject, as much as I enjoy doing business with Go Fasters, I believe that we all need to support our local dealers as much as possible. if we don't support them... they won't support us. We all want to see the GASGAS presence in the U.S. grow, but that won't happen if the existing dealers aren't selling any bikes or parts. I know that I'm overstating the obvious here, but I just had to say it anyway:D

Ditto. I have struggled with this issue for years and have considered going to more mainstream brand (one of the big 5) to support my local dealer (which is very tough, because I really like Husabergs).

I guess we'll see how many GasGas dealers there are in a year or so.

Congrats Mark & Steve!!

If anyone can pull this off, you guys can.
If you need any help, you know my number.:D

I'm expecting big things from you two and Dale.

Is the new parts system going to be a windows based system with on-line ordering? I was involved with Gas-Gas when the folks in FL. where handling them, they were great, and the parts ordering system was time consuming and not user friendly. We had several sponsored riders and keeping them in parts took a huge amount of time. Having parts microfiche is going to be a huge advance. Something that also should be considered is allowing a QUALIFIED "Parts" store to sell OEM Gas-Gas parts without being a full fledged dealer with the option to bring bikes in when it's economically feasible.

I've been involved with retail parts sales for bikes in the N.E. for the better part of 20 years. I've been approaching people I know in the industry with deep pockets about a Gas-Gas franchise and to a person they weren't interested due to our economic state at this point and the fear of an "unknown brand." It would help to know what the criteria is going to be for setting up new dealers. I understand this is all new and you folks are extremely busy getting things set up.

The last time I was involved Gas-Gas they were using racers and race teams as sales/dealer Reps. I told them this wasn't going to work because racers want to race. It takes up most of their time and doesn't leave much for promoting the bikes properly and servicing the dealer "network." I explained they needed dedicated Sales Reps. located regionally that could take care of the dealers, promote the bikes properly and develop new dealers. I also had to beat them up to allow us demo bikes. This one issue sold more bikes then any other "campaigning" we could have done. Offering potential customers the opportunity to ride them and compare the ride to their current dirt bike. More then one customer left stating "Now I've got to figure how I'm going to get this by my wife."

At this point I don't know what the plans are and most of what I've mentioned might already be in the process of being addressed. Either way it looks as if things are moving forward in a positive direction for Gas-Gas in the States. Lets all hope that whomever runs our country after the next election can do something about the floundering dollar. It's not helping any of us.
