I never signed up for Farcebook, but it cant be argued more people go to it than message boards which are seen as old hat I guess. But I 100% agree with SS109 post.

I wonder what will be the next big thing? Perhaps it will fix the vacuous postings on image based platforms and become a repository of shared knowledge (which is the fundamental human superpower) but somehow be relevant to the next generation of people.

I'm a forum guy. When info and knowledge is posted on things like facebook it is easily lost and about impossible to find again. Forums still rule as a repository of knowledge, the quirks, fixes, parts sources, etc. for anything. Plus, I despise facebook so there is that!

I?m agree with you. The thing Facebook has going for it is convenience. All of my different interests are in one spot. Mostly just for entertainment though, not really quality.

Nice riding up there. I just got back from the Shady Burro Enduro in South Fork. Much better temps than Texas. My Lectron worked well too.

Well I'm streaking ahead with my rebuild. Barely into its 3rd month.

Time to add fluids and the tank.

2 day away ride coming up.

In the meantime my Trialsy should hopefully go out tomorrow, but we've had some crazy rain so we'll see.

Still kicking but haven't been riding much after a few unplanned lay downs and a disagreement with Covid.
Upgraded the 18' GG XC 300 a while back to a Rieju 300 Pro. Lots of subtle changes but still effectively the same bike. Still just as in love with it too!

Well I finally got my 07 back together after a full birthday. Tried to sabotage progress with dumb things like a bit of gasket residue causing a water leak, and getting caught with the kickstart plastic spacer jumping out of position and sitting proud of its knotch, which you cant see with the spring in place.

Then I accidentally grabbed the wrong pipe, so had to fit the original (I had decatted a euro pipe and chromed it. Looked great and used it for years, but the grotty original had much more zing when I tried it again) .

But now I rode up the drive and its like a different bike. Much smoother with engine case rear mount rebushed where it had ovalised. New swingarm bolt with no ridges. Rebuilt sw bearings and linkage.

Ha! That's how most of my rides are in the summer, more socializing than actual riding due to the heat. We do a loop, cool off for hours, and then go do another.

Still here, kinda retired from racing in 14? but have been riding more last 3 years. My Son bought a new Rieju, I turned a buddy onto a smoking deal on a 17’ 300 Gas Gas and another buddy bought a Gas Gas trials bike a couple years ago. That makes 6 Gas Gas (plus 1 Rieju) in our little group of singletrack junkies. Anxiously awaiting my upgrade kit from motocenter (just the shroud/front fender headlight upgrade) so I can change up the looks on my 05? 300. I’m usually on this site lurking for previous technical information-Love It

2021 Rieju ranger 300

Finally went gas gas... oops Rieju. Older trail rider loves the new 300. Handles great on single track but like they say has zero top end but that's ok for me. I bought at Jay's in Reedsberg Wi. Great deal on left over 2021. Anyone else with a ranger in the midwest. I'm in northern Illinois area.
