Not sure what stock shifter you guys are talking about but the newer 200,250 and 300 shifters (around 05 or 06 I believe) are all about a 1/2 longer than the original stock shifter.
They are from the GasGas 125. The part number is ME120336026 and can be found cast right into the shifter.
The newest generation shifter from Hammerhead Designs is nice and gives a lot of options.
One of the tricks the factory GasGas mechanics use is to bend the stock shifter up approximately 1/2 the distance you would gain by rotating the shifter on "spline."
does the kxf/rmz fit a gasgas spline?
my one is a bit munted, and a replecement one is more than twice the price of a forged one for a jap brand, i would rather buy the cool looking forged one than an over priced oem one
I change the stock shitty gear lever for a nice forged item from 2-t racing made by X-fun. It is 1/2 inch longer and half way higher than the standard one. Really helps shifting while on the pegs. Nice quality product.
