gg250f loss of power question

Just glad to hear you got it running like it should be. Did you ever find out what the source of the weak power was?? Lean condition??

In regards to the missus, if its running strong you can always just gear some of the bite out of it. Means she might have to use 1st a bit more, but should be much tamer in the roll on department.

I can only assume it must have been SO gummed up inside the carb it must have been really lean. All ZipTy did was ultrasonic clean it, and put in an emulsion tube and replace the diaphram other than that the pilot went from a 42-->45. The adjustable leak jet was never touched by them and after setting it to where most recommend the bog was all gone.

Not sure how to tame it down without killing it. It is at 13/48 now and I had bought a 12 front because it needed more power down low...that won't be going on. Currently it is doing roll on wheelies in 2nd much like the YZ250f. It is less pronounced with the kouba link and soft rear suspension. If you crack it in 2 somewhere a little above idle you best be hanging on. I think she is just going to have to learn some throttle control.

I do need some throttle cables perhaps I put a G2 throttle cam on there at the same time. Really hate to mess with it though, because it is pretty fun to ride now. For me at least.

:D

Sounds like its running like it should. I ran 13/47 on my 250F for a while but found 13/49 was the magic number. Throttle cams could work... so does the throttle stop in the carb..
