Green Grease? Any good?

Hi everyone. I just purchased some grease to do the bearings on my gasser. It is called Green Grease. Has anyone tried this yet? It looked like the best stuff my local store had. I read that alot of people like the castrol blue grease. Does anyone know where I can find it? Thanks for your help and have fun on the trails.

Hey new meat. Welcome. I am not sure about the grease because i have not done all my greasing yet. I suppose as long as you spent your money on it is gotta be a good product.

Yep blue grease is the best IMO. It lasts through even the wettest conditions. Any place that sells boat trailers or equipment should have it. I get mine at the local hardware store.

Should be fine on wheel and steering bearings if you check them often. I use Bel Ray blue, but no grease will be able to do it's job for very long under the conditions that wheel bearings see.
If you're talking about swingarm bearings then spend the money for Jet Lube moly (recommended by member GMP). It's the best thing I've ever bought for a bike. There's nothing worse than messing with a smoked swingarm hinge, imo.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'm going to stick with the Green Grease on the wheel bearings and see how it does. You recommend the jet lube for the roller bearings? Does it hold up well against water and mud? Where can I find it? Once again, thanks for all the help.

Greases that meet National Lubricating Grease Institute's (NLGI) GC-LB designation can be used in high speed bearings. They have high dropping points and resist water wash out.

I only use greases with the GC-LB designation and molybdenum disulfide. The molybdenum disulfide provides additional wear protection under extreme low lubrication situations.

That's the right stuff Eff. I feel pretty confident about using it. Later down the road I may post an update on it. Thanks for the tip Erik. I'll keep a look out for that in my later purchases. Thanks everyone.

Is this "jet lube moly" the grease of all grease's I read about in the old smackover forum ways back? And if so where can it be had?
