How do you haul your bikes?

My old ute, shouldn't have sold it.

enclosed trailer likes

Used a three bike open trailer for a few years, but finally sold it and bought the enclosed trailer, 7x16. Hauls all of my family's stuff plus all my buddy's bikes and their kids bikes. Yep, overkill.
Biggest advantages to even a smaller enclosed trailer that I like are:

1) never have to worry "what if a tie down breaks" (probably will never happen but was always in the back of my mind)

2) riding all day, get back to the pickup in inclement weather, just open the trailer and change inside, nice and dry, or out of the blazing sun for that matter.

3) headed home, we are all hungry, wow Chili's looks good, now don't have to lock bikes or worry about gear in the bed of the truck being stolen.

4) now arrive home from riding all day in the mountains/desert, it's 2130 hrs, I'm tired, just park the trailer. No unloading muddy bikes or stinky gear tonight, it can wait for another day.

5) oh, and Shang, it's cheaper than a pickup;). You will use it for 10 years, and sell it for near what you paid for it. Good investment

That's a good point. I'd still need something more reliable than my BMW X5 to tow with though. I recently bought a vintage camp trailer and that's also going to push me into a bigger vehicle. The X5 will pull 6k, I just can't keep up with reliability issues.

Really like your CT Honda, and your creativity with the trailer. I had a similar set-up, when racing on a budget.

I am now "spoiled rotten". Since 1993, I have been able to ride with my buddies, from my house, and their houses. The spoils of living in an "uninhabited state". Yes it is high desert, and we don't get no rain, no more, but we can frolic and shoot, just about all we want.

For the long weekends and vacation we use the toy hauler.

For the shorter trips we have a 6'x10' enclosed trailer.

Oh man. That would be awesome! I've stayed in a few vacation rentals in southern Utah where we could ride from the house and it is definitely awesome.

I always use my long wheelbase VW T5 van. It takes two enduro bikes or two RR type bikes.
