Left side cranck seal popping out

Hi there!

I'm having strange problem with my EC 300 R -12. Cranck seal in magneto side keeps popping out. It was in good shape but out of it's place when I pulled flywheel of yesterday. I replaced it with new original sparepart and rode my bike normally. Then I heard loud "pop" sound kind of sound that comes when opening shampagne bottle.

My test ride yesterday ended saddly at mx track when I broke my ankle, but that's totally different story.

I'm wondering what could cause so much pressure in cranck that makes seal pop off? The seal did go easy to it's place (maybe too easy).

Sorry to hear about your borken ankle. Hope it heals well, but I'm afraid it means that you are out of enduro for the best part of this season?

Regarding the popping seal, the only thing that I can think of (apart from the obvious case of a seal or seat with wrong dimension) is that your piston ring is broken and lets the combustion pressure blow by into the crankcase.

I guess you'll have plenty of time to inspect the top end of the engine while jumping around on crutches

Luckilly my next race is in middle of august. I think I can do that.

And it is not piston ring. It happened first time last month. Pistonrings were ok. After that I have installed new cylinder and piston. Still popping. Mystery continues... Maybe just needs tighter sitting seal...

Poor tolerance on the bore in the case? Did you install dry and clean?

Hope you heal up quick, any surgery?

It may be bad tolerance in case but in that case why first one lasted 100hours?
I hope tolerance was bad in seal. No no surgery.

Use some bearing loctite next time. Kelkoissa kayttavat ihan moottorivalmistajan toimesta peltilatkaa varmistamassa stefan paikallaan pysymisen, tieda sitten oisko Gassissa tilaa askarrella moista sinne?

I'll try that locktite fix next. And yes that snowmobile thing that you wrote in Finnish came tomy mind too
