Looking for some aftermarket pegs. Opinions?

I just got a really low hour 2011 300ec six days and the right peg has already been deformed by the kicker. What pegs do you guys run and do they fix this problem?

The stock pegs are average. The good news is that the peg mount is the same as a 2004 WR250F (Yamaha) which I believe was the same many years before and after, and for the YZF and possibly YZ250 as well. The only thing you need to be aware of is the clearance cut away on the RHS peg for the brake lever. You'll probably need to take a grinder to it to make it fit perfectly, so best to look for a peg that will still hold its strength after having some material removed.

I have the Talon pegs. Works very good, but they are quite expensive. The change in grip compared to my battered, worn out oem pegs was huge.

Sent from my OMNIA7 using Board Express

Fastway F3 for me. I will never own a different brand.

I've tried Pivot Pegs and liked them as well, but they seemed to wear somewhat quickly and are quite slick when wet.

I had the Fastways on mine, in the low position, liked 'em fine. I'll sell 'em cheap....

I have run the Pivot Pegs, and the Fastway pegs. Both are great, I do think the Fastway pegs are a little easier on the kicker, but the pivot pegs are very wide and very sharp and stay that way for a long time, with the side benefit of articulating so your boots maintain a constant flat contact with the pegs for shifting your weight.

I use this ones from BUD Racing on my 2011 EC:

These have a very nice grip but only 8 cms wide. I'm looking for ones a little wider, let's say 10cms in order to have my feet well planted. Any suggestions ?
Would a 2010-13 Yamaha YZ 450 fit ?

I had a set of Powerpegz (similar to PivotPegz) that I carried over from the Yamaha that I ran for a long time until a nasty hill saw one side snap clean off. I tossed and turned considering where to go from there. Powerpegz no longer available and everything I read re Pivotpegz was maintenance. Bushings flogging out. Greasing. Etc. I spend enough time 'playing' with my bike and decided to save the time and effort for other things.

The pivot action is really nice though and helps immensly when climbing. It took some training to get used to finding the controls again once returning to a solid peg.
