LTR jetting what am I missing (follow up)

I just wanted to post to let Alberta Folks know that for my bike 05 EC250 ,a 172 main and 42 idle jets with LTR needle in Mid position (3rd) and LTR power valve suggested set up for biking at 4000 ft, are working fantastic so far. It's 2900 feet here in central Alberta I have been out to the locale track/practice area just to get a feel for the bike and I love it. It flies and excelerates predictably has real good bottom and mid power. It never seems to stop pulling. I must be honest I haven't spent heaps of time in the pipe/WOT as I just got back into two wheel biking after 20 yrs and 60 pounds. I have been keeping an eye on my sparkplug as I use the pipe more and more and it seems to be maintaining a clean golden color. I hope this helps others in the area to get dialed in a little quicker. I really do like my GG.

Does any one know what the settings would be for around 9000 ft on a 2005 ec250 with the ltr jet kit? I am running an fmf fatty pipe.

You need to specify the temperature range you will be operating in as well. There is a correction factor table in the back of the owners manual that will give you a correction factor based on altitude and termperature. You can use this to "scale" your pilot and main jet for your high altitude and temp range (if other than 68 degrees farenheit).

I just looked at the table and the correction factor is .92 for 3000m (~9000 feet).

main = 178 * .92 = 163 (165 main)
pilot = 48 (most lean to 45...) * .92 = 41...

So 165 main and 40-42 pilot would be a good starting point....

If you are riding in an altitude range - I would jet for the lower altitude - that way you won't ever be lean...

Temperature is usually between 50 to 100 degrees. The weather can turn on a dime around here. I'm in Loveland, CO.

At that altitude and over that temp range - the correction factor will vary between .88 and .93 (approximately).

What is the range of altitude? You aren't always at 9k feet. Are you?

No, my town elevation is 4982ft and most of my riding is in the mountains which can go up to about 12000ft.
