Map switch help

Yep. I took a look during the weekend. In my case, the black and orange wires are connected directly to the map switch. There is a dual wire in its own sheating going all the way from the switch to the CDI. No othger connectors are used.

So I'm sorry, but I cannot suggest why you have a different connection on your 2008 bike.
