Marks on cylinder

I just bought a 2024 EC 300, and I'm am installing a new medium TSP head. When I took the original head off, I found this mark in the cylinder. the bike only has 1 hour 16min on it. ?????

That sucks. Something has been posted out the transfer and not quite made it so been scraped up wall.

So what was it is the difficult question .

I'd check ring ends and seriously flush the bottom end.

A more conservative approach would be strip, but I wouldn't.

Then get barrel assessment it can hone for big piston.

I've been told the nicaseal is not thick enough to hone.
 
Now I'm not on my phone I see its exhaust not transfer. Not that it changes anything.

So it's either, debris from build. A bit of the ring or bearing cage. Or it got past the airfilter.

I mean the scrape won't bother it running, but it's like starting off with a ring on wear limit.
