I hope someone can assist me.

Can someone tell me what airgap I should use on these forks, manual says 115mm but I have been told I can drop it to 130mm. I have an issue of deflection of small bumps, rocks and roots. My hands and arms take are beating.

I am running 5wt oil in the forks.

One can only assume you mean the 45mm Marzocchi's found on the Six Days bikes ...

The fork valving, much more so than the oil height, is causing the issue. We worked up a rebound,mid-valve, and compression stack solution that eliminates the harshness and clears up the deflection.

You're also likely to want to run 7.5 wt oil and heavier springs.

There is a ton of posts on this subject btw. I run 130 with modified valving and heavier springs.

Try 130, full hard on rebound dampening, and ride it. If it is still harsh try 7.5 or 10 wt fork oil.

If it is better but still not working you have the same issue most of us have. The lack of rebound damping, no real mid-valve dampening, and a heavy duty base valve is just not a great combo. It might be in your best interest to have the forks worked over by Enduro Engineering or someone who specifically targets those 3 areas. The blow off valve needs to go by by and heavy stack for rebound dampening needs to be installed. Try the other stuff first though.
