Mechanical clutch

Did 2t gasser always have a hydraulic clutch? Could one replace a hydraulic clutch with mech cable clutch? Why you ask. Lhrb. Just daydreaming

A good friend called me the other day to tell me he had set up an MTB hydraulic brake to operate the clutch on his KTM. He has a Rekluse and LHRB. Now he has 2 levers on his left handle bar.
I haven't seen it yet, so I can't comment further.

GWR in the UK made a custom cable to hyd. adapter for a KTMTalker in Ca. a few years ago. Enabled the use of what used to be the compression release lever (same size as the choke lever on a GG) to operate his clutch.
So, its been done.

I thought Clay ran a rear brake in place of the clutch on his bike. He was running a Rekluse so no need for clutch lever.

With that said I don't think I have ever heard of someone removing the hydraulic clutch lever to replace with a manual lever. Probably could be done but I would think it would be easier to have 2 hydraulic levers on the left one for the rear brake with a split so you could run both a pedal and a lever, and your clutch lever.

I have thought long and hard about ithis, and i think the cable clutch override that rekluse makes would be the cleanest solution to the problem. If the clutch was not hydraulic it would be a snap to have a lever attached to the LHRB. All of the other methods just look clunky to me, ie mountain bike master cylinder or the staggered stock master cylinder. I love the rekluse core exp and LHRB but i still wish i had a clutch lever, cable would be just fine.
