Michigan riding areas?

I would like somewhere that has single track and 50" wide trail systems. Ideally I could stay at a place and ride out of there. Family Friendly is the key.

THanks

Look on the Michigan.gov/dnr site for ORV trails. You'll get a map with green dots and a listing of trails below. You can click on the dot if you like and the trail map will pull up. Markings indicate what width/ what usage the trail has. I think there are campsite listings on the same maps.

Some of the trails are out and back, some are loops. Bring a GPS and you'll have no issues. Each bike will need a ORV tag (available at Meijers or most bike shops) and a spark arrestor.

Have fun and ride safe.

Just got back from the UP. All you need is an ORV sticker from the local gas stations (got mine from the Holiday station in Iron Mountain) and you can ride the ORV trails in Michigan. Sticker is good until year's end, I think they are around $16-17 each.

Ride Bass Lake, it's 26+ mile of great singletrack, or for something tighter, but still fun, the 27 mile Moss Lake loop. There are lots of good trails in Michigan, just google for the ORV trail website and there you can get locations, trail maps and be good to go.

I fully agree! I have ridden the Bass Lake trails multiple times and they are great. I am looking forward to riding the Moss Lake trails next trip.

I am sure that after a few times up there it would be easy. Just a little overwhelming to plan a family thing with bikes and quads. Thanks for the suggestions.
