mixing oils

I'm refreshing the fluids in my 45 zokes and I have 800ml of 5w Amsoil shock fluid and about 500ml of RaceTech medium. Both are full synthetic so would it be ok to mix them? Would it be better to use 100% Amsoil in one leg and mix the other?

I would say you would get more consistent clicker action if you mixed the oil. Theoretically speaking, the oils would move through the valving at different rates due to their different viscosity, but if you mixed them 50/50 there would be no difference. I would propose that your clickers would do different things with different weight oils in each leg. What, exactly, I don't know, but different nonetheless.

I agree: Mixing is fine, just keep things the same in each leg!
Different hydraulic action in each leg would be impossible to tune with the clickers. Also, the leg that was doing the lions share of the work would have bad fading issues and sack out the oil quickly.
Different spring rates, on the other hand, can be used in each leg with no problems.

Mixing suspension oil is fine, it's just very hard to change viscosity by mixing, it lives by the mashed potatoe rule, just a little too much thinner stuff makes the whole lot too thin very quickly.

I too have mixed different weight fork oils many times but not different brands/makes, personally i'd stick with the same brand.

Also that 5w amsoil oil you mentioned is fork oil? Not shock fluid/oil?
I'm no know it all, but i think shock oil and fork oil would be different.
