Mods list?

Is there a sort of, 'standard' mods list for the 300 out there? Every other bike on every other forum seems to have one, is the ec300 void?

If you are looking for mods to make your bike run better, jetting is about it! The 300's are good right out of the box. I was looking to do some preventative mods on my bike when I first got it but, nothing ever broke. Really it's a matter of personal taste and how big your wallet is on what to mod or replace.
Oh, by the way, I must be an idiot. I've been running Motorex Crossfire @ 50:1 for three years now, never a problem.

Adjust the clickers on the forks and shock to suit your weight / terrain / driving style preference and go rip it.

Another idiot, I run Motul 800 at 50:1.

head

Get the head done to improve power ,jetting ,mileage all in one cheap deal
pipes are a preference factory pretty good -gnarly alittle more punch down low, flywheel weight if you want to tame the 300 hit,for alittle more smoothness and for me personally i'd recommend the lectron carb for smooth power delivery
Head mod first!

Ditto: Head mod first. Jet it. Ride it.
If the suspension isn't working for you then suspension work.

My personal list.

1. Suspension sent off and set to you. Clickers are for fine tuning. Finely tuned suspension will make you faster and more confident. WER is who did mine.

2. Carb Mod. Followed by head mod. RBD is who I used.

2.5 S3 24oz flywheel weight. Inspires confidence, and increases traction 5x.

3. Mousse Tubes. Confidence in a box.

4. Motoz intermediate enduro tires. Sticky and tough. Confidence in a box.

The reason for the idiot remark is that there are numerous studies completed by the top 2 stroke tuners including fully synthetic oils that have all proven more oil is better. There is no evidence whatsoever indicating more power or a longer lasting engine with less oil. A G Bell found increasing power up to 16:1, and spooge is only a problem past 24:1, before that any problems are due to jetting.

I don't know anyone that uses 32:1.....

I'm at 44:1 Klotz Techniplate TCW3

Check Squish and have head fixed. Everything else is tailoring the bike to your personal needs.

There is an "extra" hole on the chain side of the swingarm. May want to put a dab of silicone on it.

If you are a fast MX or desert racer that is always on the pipe, then yes 32:1(or maybe even a bit richer) is a good idea.
If you are a woods rider, then it's waaay overkill. I run 60:1 full syn in my 250, as I'm a woods rider with a lazy throttle hand.......

All my 2t are jetted to run at 32:1. I've been good about changing pistons at roughly 100 hrs, at 50:1 or 40:1. Now my 2ts are rejetted to accept 32:1, and My KX 250 is rolling past 125+hrs. Granted it's a tad down on it's full power potential. I just had the top off it, and everything looks great, a bit worn, but good. Just for my own entertainment I'm gonna run another 25-30 hrs...then check it again. If it blows, it blows, I got back-ups for back-ups. I have been part of and/or started jetting debates. I know too many guys who get terrific piston wear @ 50, 40, 32, 28:1...I'm running 32:1 'cause it's workng for me.

**sorry if it reads like a rant...Not meant to be**

Good stuff! Would be grateful if you could move it to my other post regarding the subject!

Another mod

Reading another post made me think of this.
Yz kicker another good thing to do and a pretty good bang for the buck
unless you have Estart

100% agree on the YZ kick start lever. That is definetly a must do.

What makes the yz kicker better? What year/model yz?

And as far as 32:1 goes, I always ran 32:1 in my 2 strokes years ago, I only just started w/ 40:1 for the gasser. After reading about most using 50:1, which i couldn't get myself to do, and afters years of 32:1 . I figured i would try 40:1 as a compromise.
