Mousse inserts and inertia

Does anyone here use the Michilen mousse inserts (or any other brands).

I have had them in my bike since I got it and I think although its great not getting flat tyres they seem to have quite high inertia making the bike harder to turn/lean then you would expect. I think the increase in weight at the outside of the wheel is a problem.
I never really had many flats with heavy duty tubes and I am probably going to switch back next time I change my tyres.

Anyone else think the same?

How long have you had them in the tires. They could be flat/worn out and giving the feel of the tires with 2psi in them. Just a thought---seen plenty flat mousses.

roughly 6 months not the bike was used in the ISDE last year in New Zealand and they were in it when I bought it. I can't really justify the expense of putting new mousses in so will probably be reverting back to tubes at some stage soon. My rear tyre is getting fairly worn so will do that one soonish and the front next time I have that one off the rim.

Most foam inserts break down considerably within 6 months.

They weigh about the same as a heavy duty tube.
